Capcom has released an updated fact sheet for Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix for XBox Live Arcade. As we told you, the game's beta test access comes with the Commando 3 XBLA game, and the game itself will include the original sprites, if you prefer those. Click read more for the full info, click the link for the screens.PRESS RELEASESAN MATEO, Calif. — March 13, 2008 — Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that Xbox LIVE® Gold subscribers will be able to access the Beta test for the eagerly anticipated Super Street Fighter® II Turbo HD Remix when they purchase Wolf of the Battlefield™: Commando 3. This will be the first time that a Beta test has been run across the Xbox LIVE network for a digitally distributed Xbox LIVE Arcade game. Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3 will be available this spring for 800 Microsoft® Points, with the Beta version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix releasing shortly thereafter. The final version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will be available for Xbox LIVE® Arcade and PLAYSTATION® Network later this year.
When an Xbox LIVE Gold subscriber purchases Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, they will also be able to download Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta when it is released shortly afterwards through Xbox LIVE Marketplace. This unique Beta version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will allow players to select from one of two Street Fighter characters, either Ryu or Ken, and battle online. This Beta test will help Capcom stress-test the network code underlying the incredible online features that power the multiplayer modes of the game. Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix online modes include Player or “Quarter” Match, Ranked Match, and Tournament Mode. The Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Beta will run for approximately eight weeks.The Capcom arcade classic receives a whole new look as Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix comes to both Xbox LIVE and the PLAYSTATION Network this fall. Capcom will maintain the integrity of the popular game by utilizing the original game code while upgrading the graphics with new artwork and high resolution 1080p images. Again, all of the art, from character animation to stage backgrounds, will be completely redrawn by Udon Entertainment, the company responsible for the US Street Fighter series of comics. Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will include both online and offline competition for one or two players.The full version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix will feature:• All new 1080p high-definition art for Street Fighter characters and backgrounds created by Udon Entertainment, creators of the Street Fighter comic books• Features all 17 of the original Super Street Fighter® II Turbo characters including Ryu, Guile, M. so whats the release date for this? fells like this is taking as long as street fighter 4.
