	According to the first real numbers released for GTA IV, Gamestop is claiming that 64% of the sales were on the Xbox360 and 34% of the sales were on PS3. This backs up the MS claim of first week GTA sales being 60% Xbox360. Like we said, time will tell who is telling the truth. >Link

I bet they got canceled after all the bad press Sony got for GTA4 freezing and having to turn off PSN in order to even play the single player game, let alone not being able to play multiplayer :p

This is one store but kinda what I expected.

me too, since Xbox had one year head start, but it didn't bother me much, what really made me laugh was when PIMPYDIMPY said MGS4 GOT 10/10 was like ppl giving out candy, so really getting 10 was no big deal, hmm i really think his comment is really from xbox fanboysim !!!

An install base of 3-1 and MS is gloating about a 60/40 split? Also..this is based on just 1 week sales where the numbers are just hardcore gamers. Just wait and see how this plays out...look for the numbers to swing the other way as more casual gamers come into play.

I actualyl wanted to buy Xbox360 over PS3,

one, two little things actually changed my mind,

I said blue ray and HD DVD is a joke,

but once the battle was over, it was just like that, I was shocked, then I also found out the hard drives are 2.5" which is for Laptop, so i can upgrade as much as i want to,

Another thing I decided that buying games is more than enough, instead, im not not going to pay for downloadable content, because those are bullshit like COD4 and more...

Because of that I only wanted to play online which free is enough, not live where it ask you for credit card...

And then I realize that PS3 has tons of exclusive FPS games comming up, so really I'm FPS hardcore fan and I got where ever gets FPS,

with Xbox360 the only thing, actually HALO is ot my type but even then I didn't mind getting it for online but i realize those comes to PC which I can always wait and get it for...

Then my friend who had 3rd xbox 360 and my other friend traded because he didnt want get the second xbox. And really I dont play too much games except for FPS ! and I really dont' have time for failure, because i'm never home. And I dont think I will be happy if i have to trade for third time.

So for xbox360 I dont know what they have that I really want.

PS3, yea thye got casual gay gamers, it is sort of sounds funny but whatever,

with HAZE and MGS4 (used to be fan)

Resistance 2 ( used to be addicted) and

Killzone ( Graphic whore)

I think PS3 is my best choice !!!!!

blacktiger: yes the PS3 is doing poorly and there is no sign of it getting better. you can throw HOME, LITTLEBIGPLANET and MGS4. you can even throw the game thats been so over hyped and been delayed so many times(killzone 2) at the 360 but you have to remember thats four games. you have no idea when HOME is even going to come out let alone LITTLEBIGPLANET. the 360 has so many exclusive's comming out, plus you have to remember that when i game comes out for the PS3, 360 and the Wii, the system that overal wins is...yeah you guessed it the 360. COD4 and GTA4, two of the biggest games this year...better on the 360.

Pachter has already come out today to say he expects the ps3 to win again this month. If this is what you mean by poor, then keep it coming.

Yes it is doing poorly, how is it doing good? yeah cause there are so many games for the PS3 that i would love to have right? What 'good' games are out for the PS3 right now...GTA4...wow i can get the better copy on my 360...lets see what else is good for the PS3...COD4, yeah again i can get the better copy on my 360.

the only thing the PS3 has going for it(right now) is Blue-ray...but guess what; the 360 will have one of those too...so just wait and see the PS3 sales dramaticaly drop and the number of people swith over to the 360 when it comes out next year.

also let us not forget MS has officially, yet again, denied it has plans for a bluray player in its rrod console.

the PS3 sales because of one thing and one thing only, Blue-ray. games have nothing to do with the sales of the PS3...because almost every game out for the PS3 is out and better for the 360.

If that were true there should have been a HUGE spike in ps3 sales after the death of hd-dvd. However this was not the case.

of course you would bring up RROD, thats all you have on the 360. 360 will have Blue-ray, just wait.

the PS3 isn't the only thing that has Blue-ray. their are Blue-ray players, and i can see alot of people buying the players over the PS3.
