9-11 >
2008/09/11 9:57:02: Posted by DM
Today is the seventh anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks on the Twin Towers in New York City. As you may or may not know, GR is based in the outskirts of Manhattan, so it hit us hard here. In fact, over 70 people from our town alone died that day. If any of you have a moment, just give a thought as to where things have been and where we are going since then. Nothing so serious as a moment of silence, but just give a thought as to where things are now, and where they were on 9-11, and where they are going. We also want to single out one person who we knew for 18 years, who finally got a job at the WTC after years of not doing much, just two weeks before the attacks. Johnathan C., we miss you, and to his family, we say, all our support on this hardest of days.

WHO GIVES A F$CK American does so much worst in other countries that don't make it on CNN. Americans needs to stop being p*ssies and get over this already. What the point of Remember this anyways.? Just F$cking let the people rest in peace already. How are they supposed to do that when this sh!t of a news is brought up every year. F$ck this grow already America you are not so innocent.
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/11

Truly a sad day that effects many today. My prayers and thoughts go out to the victims and their loved ones.

It's called respect Blue, to acknowledge and remember those who were lost is a sign of respect.

The point of remembering something like this, besides respect, is so that we can learn from it so we don't have another incident like this happen again.
Written by blacktiger on 2008/09/11

Let's celebrate the truth sadly that was planned by the Government!
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

Its Called BS. If thats the case, how come we don't show the same respect to the innocent people the U.S bomb in other countries. Huh why don't we? Don't give me that BS "its called respect" its a bunch of Propaganda and paying respect won't stop it from happening again but this is something that you tell yourself to sleep better at night then go ahead.

I sleep really good knowing that it could happen again and will probably happen again. FEAR has no place in my bed and the truth will set you free.

GET OVER THIS ALREADY AMERICA YOUR NOT THE INNOCENT B!TCH YOU WANT PEOPLE TO BELIEVE.

@F@gTigher STFU! and go back into hiding.
Written by poprocker on 2008/09/11

Agree with Xenos 110%. Sad day today.

DM...sorry for your loss.
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/11

Wow, no one is saying that America is innocent. However that doesn't mean that we should ignore what has happened here.

Nothing is guaranteed, but we can still learn and grow from it.

Forcing politics into this doesn't make it right. I knew people who moved to New York and have lost loved ones, so I have a reason to pay my respects.
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/11

I think somebody is missing the point. Nobody ever said that the US is innocent. But I'm an American. Born and raised. This was an attack on our country, on our land.

Thats whats wrong with this country. Our own people don't believe in it or stand up for it.

If anybody thinks that any of those innocent people who died on 9-11 deserved it because of the actions of this country in other parts of the world. Maybe they need to seek some physchiatric help immediately.

When did this site become politicians reports???

Oh and it really sucks that my sisters birthday is today. Instead of celebrating her birthday when she first wakes up on 9-11. She mourns for this country that both my grandfather and father dedicated their lives to protecting serving in the US Navy.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

@XENOS, I'm just going to ignore your comments, I can see it already, you are not going to see my point and I don't have all day to go back and forth with you. I'm not making it political read below.

@PimpD. My point was not to say that innocent people deserve to die. My point is if you are going to make a big deal about innocent people dying because 1 country attacted another, why not make it more than Just about 9-11. Why only weep and make a big deal about 9-11 just because it was on U.S soil. WHY NOT MAKE IT ABOUT ALL INNOCENT PEOPLE THAT DIED in similar ways. I stand for America any day and it seems like I'm the only thats standing up for it now, while everyone is f$cking crying and weeping about something that happened 7 years ago and being one sided about the whole thing.

You want to Remember people and show your respect throw a f!cking party. You love parties they loved parties celebrate their live and your living. It helps with moving on, something all of you guys need to do and f!cking boo hoo crying already.
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/11

Rememberance is not weeping. It's showing respect and homage to a tragic event that still effects our lives today. Go to an airport and find out.

Should we not celebrate birthdays, holidays, anniversaries etc?

I'm saddened for the people who lost loved ones. The other 364(5) days of the year people move on. There's nothing wrong with setting a day aside to remember and pay respect to such a momentus event.

EDIT: Remeberance is not "only" weeping.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

While we at why not remember those innocent people that died in operation shock and Awe too. you guys probably think we shoudln't included them in this because they are not Americans.
Written by poprocker on 2008/09/11

B1ue remember whoever you want to. Noone is stopping you.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

Its not that, I just think the whole basis of 9-11 is weak, the ground on which people come together on this is not solid.
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/11

The ground that people get together is to honor the dead. You don't get more solid than that.

This isn't about anything else but one thing, 911 and those who have died on that day. We shouldn't expect other coutries to pay their respects for 911, so I see no point in mixing the deaths of others with 911.

Death is usually tragic, but this shouldn't be mistaken for anything else than what it really is.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

There are so many US tragedy where alot of innocent people die, for example the bombing in Oklahoma, Columbine, those were forms of terrorist attacks too, Does is make a difference where the terrorist are from? is that how you guys pick and choose which innocent to honor and which not to honor. If you want to honor the innocent that died in tragic attacks honor them all don't set 9-11 aside.

I think you guys are full of sh!t, but like I said before what makes you sleep better. This country needs to move on.
Written by poprocker on 2008/09/11

The nation has moved on, but we will never forget.
Written by Xenos on 2008/09/11

I feel for those victims as well, however, like I said earlier, I knew people who moved to New York and were effected by this.

So I'm sorry but I have very legit reasons for honoring that incident.

What good reason do you have for sh!tting on this topic?
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

I've been giving my reason since my first post. Haven't you been reading?
Written by admiralj on 2008/09/11

B1ueBurneR

There is nothing as cold as the death of innocent people to prove a point. How dare you disgrace this day of remembrance. I have family that was lost on this day of cowardice. How dare you mock them. You don't have the first inclination of what it means to be an American on this day. You are no better than those who caused this travesty. Although many of us have forgiven the ignorant who brought on this attack, we shall never forget.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

Admiral, Blow it out your @ss. I said what I had to say. If you don't like, oh well. carry on.
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/11

Ya lets also forget December 7th. Memorial Day. Martin Luther Kings Bday. 4th of July, etc... by your standards and just move on. I read what your wrote earlier. I have no idea what you stand for. It's definetly not America.

Some people just don't get it... Oh and I think those people can eat the very thing they think we are full of.

Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

PimpD, you want to take this out in a game, or what, let me know whats up.
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/11

Hey I usually got your back. But not on this :p

I don't know if your serious or just stirring up trouble. But either way we just don't see eye to eye on this subject.

But it's your opinion. BTW I know you like the female sex organ but could you at least bleep out the word next time?
Written by kungfurabbit on 2008/09/11

So B1ue are you also saying hispanic people should forget cinco de mayo.(AKA DAY OF THE DEAD) A day of which they pay their respects to the dead. You are a sad fool with no respect for anyone. Much respect and love to all my fellow new yorkers.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/11

PimpD, We don't have to see eye to eye on every subject. and I thank you for respecting my opinions. It would be foolish of me to think any of you would agree with me, and no I'm not stirring up trouble. Just letting my thoughts out and before the night is over I will go pay my respect those innocent fallen by terror not only here on US Soil but everywhere else. If you were in Miami, I would invite you to the bar/club I'm going to tonight for a drink and Celebration of life.

@Kungfuf!ggot, I celebrate Cinco de Mayo every year, and sometimes I get to ride a Donkey, no not your mom, but a real Donkey. Sorry but I'm not sadden by death, I see it as a reminder of life as was thought as a kid to expect it. not to celebrate it with sorrow and grief but celebrate it with happiness and appreciation because tomorrow is not promised. Thats why I don't like to waste my time in forums like these.

The US government didn't attack themselves, they just let this attack happen. It's perfect for them because now they have the opium fields in Afghanistan, and used a bunch of bullsh*it lies to invade Iraq for the oil fields. America has been doing this since it's been a country. America has the most corrupt goverment in the world, and Americans are the most brain washed people in the world. I feel very sorry for all the good Americans.

P.S. I HATE YOUR GOVERNMENT!
Written by PimpDaddy on 2008/09/11

So whats new. Semms everyone outside of the US feels that way. What country are you from kr0nixz? Because I am pretty sure my government has given your government Billions of dollars over the years.

Some people are so blind to the things that happened on September 11. I respect and honestly feel for the people who lost their lives and their families on Sept 11, but this doesn't change the fact that September 11 was a INSIDE JOB.

If you disagree, I challenge you to download and watch the countless documentary's on Sept 11 and tell me you still feel the same after watching them.

I know some people will be offended by me saying that and i also know alot of peoples opinions will never change regardless of what their show. I GUARANTEE if you download a few documentary's you will never think about this day in the same way.

All of these movies are EASILY accessible via "Bittorrent".
Written by kr0niXz on 2008/09/11

PimpDaddy, i'm from Canada, which is America's little pet. I hate our goverment as well, but I love my country. (I love America too) =P
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/11

lol @ the inside job
Written by jb33 on 2008/09/11

^^^I'm just glad that i finally opened my eyes and gave these movies and speculations a chance. I was the person who laughed at people who thought Sept 11 was cover up. After watching countless videos i realized that something VERY shady went on that day.

You must be the type of person(Just like i was) that wouldn't even consider that something shady went on that day. I don't blame you...Like i said...I actually laughed and cracked on several people i know until i gave these movies a chance.
Written by VaeVictus on 2008/09/11

I've seen the movies. They've been posted in every forum. I'm a history major with a minor in sociology and french. I do my research. The "consipracy theories" in my honest opinion are absurd.
Written by jersey732 on 2008/09/11

B1ueBurner I hope some day you grow up, you little POS!!! Someday, when you have a real life, you'll learn to have respect for people and for America. You want to know who gives a F$CK??? I DO!!!
Written by jb33 on 2008/09/11

Everyone has their own opinion and i respect yours. Like i said...Some people won't switch their view on a certain subject even if it's plain as day. I don't know what went on that day and i don't believe half the sh!t these movies try to spew, but i do know something other than what we know as the truth went on.
Written by jersey732 on 2008/09/11

It's a$$holes like you, B1ueBalls, that walk around thinking thier opinion is better than anyone elses. Your just a sad little bit*h that gets his rocks off by pissing off everyone around you. You're probably the lowest piece of crap in your own life so in order to make yourself feel better you come on here and verbally try to attack people that don't agree with your $hitty point of views. People have to be reminded of the horrible incidents in history so that they are not repeated. The GR staff was trying to pay respects to someone they lost you loser and you have to try to make yourself the focus of what they were doing. Go look in the mirror and start talking and I'll bet you'll find out how much of an a$$ you are. As far as the conspiracy theories go..pfffft. Technology can manipulate anyo
Written by jb33 on 2008/09/11

As a "history major" i would think you would be able to see all the evidence that these movies bring to light. I'm sorry, but there is just waaay to many things that went on that day that don't add up. 99% of these things could be EASILY cleared up by the government with simple videos/documents/voice recordings. I just don't see how you could call some of these claims "Absurd".
Written by jersey732 on 2008/09/11

Last word in my comment above got cut off it, should have said "anyone". Godbless America and Godbless anyone that has to deal with B1uBalls in real life, they need it.
Written by jb33 on 2008/09/11

Written by madgunde on 2008/09/12

@B1ueBurneR

I understand what you're saying, I just think you could be a more subtle and respectful with how you say it, given how personal this topic is for some of the members of this forum. It's never cool to crap on someone who has lost a loved one.

@VaeVictus

I also don't believe the official answer that the US government has given about what happened on 9/11. While I won't go as far as to say I believe any specific conspiracy theory, I do agree with jb33 that much of the doubt could be cleared up if the government was more forthcoming with information, and more professional and thorough in their handling of the investigation.

@All

To those who lost loved ones or who are close to those who did, 9/11 surely was a tragedy and my respects to you and yours.
Written by B1ueBurneR on 2008/09/12
