DailyGamesNews is reporting that another lawsuit has been filed again MS for the large number of Xbox360 hardware failures. The suit, being brought in Sacramento, California Superior Court, is a class action suit which admonishes MS for the poor quality of the 360 hardware. It claims MS knew about the problems but released the hardware anyway to beat the Wii and PS3 to market.

I hope MS loses, whatever it takes to make sure this doesn't happen again.
However I know how these things work and it'll probably be settled out of court =/

I agree that these corporations should be held accountable. On that note, I wish Sony had been bent over for the hardware failures I experienced with my PS1, and PS2 consoles.Never before or since my PS1 and PS2 have I had a console fail on me. In fact my original Atari 2600 was working just fine till my mom thew it away...Sorry that was probably before most of you were born :p

Yeah, I remember those days. I remember my saturn dropping right on it's face from the table when I pulled the controller cord too far out. It still worked like a champ no problem.I only went through one ps1 so it wasn't a big deal for me. My friends though have had more issues, one friend's ps1 woulnd't work unless you flipped it upside down and the other buddy had a ps1 which had a disc drive that wouldn't stop spinning sometimes once you urned it off, almost took my head off once when a disk got thrown out from me opening the door without unplugging it. =p

Microsoft has learned it's lesson, I hope...

PimpD, the different is that SONY's console is very rare, when it comes to failure, so SONY isn't alone when it comes to minor failure...With MS is a whole different ball game, THEY KNEW this problem, plus! its more than 33 percent failure !So stop going after all console for minor failure...Just because you look stupid that your favourite console broke down !
;) Pimpd, I haven't seen you on MSN !
---You know, I'm curious with New Xbox 360 OS experience...Since they are looking to fix for the ppl who don't have hard drive, is that even gonna make it worse for 360 hardware ?

You do realize that Sony was sued for the ps2's hardware failures, and they lost that lawsuit, right Blacktiger?I'm sure MS has learned their lesson when they coughed up the $1 billion to fix the issues.

WTF BlackTiger??? Is the education system broken where you live?Your the last person on Earth who should ever call anybody else stupid. The reason you dont see me on MSN is because I set my status to invisible so I dont have to lower my IQ talking to you.I would much rather talk with people who have some sort of intelligence. In fact I feel stupid for even responding to you. Thanks for lowering the collective intelligence level of every single person who visits GamersReports and is unfortunate enough to read your garbage.

Wrong PS2 didn't lose for their hardware failure, i think you got it confuse with Controller my friend..nice try though...
--PimpD, you been saying that for the past year how you would rather talk to intelligence,

Sony was almost sued for the ps1 due to hardware problems but it was dropped once Sony finally agreed to address the issues. Sony was sued for the ps2 and lost that lawsuit, just take 3 seconds to google for it.

Lets not forget those faulty Sony laptop batteries. At least the RROD wasn't causing fires! ;-)

madgunde: I heard an Xbox 360 burnt down a house because of a faulty wire in the external power supply. The idiots on N4G had a field day with that...
