	In a terse press release today, Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry 2 for the PS3 and Xbox360. No mention of PC though, and as you can see, the info is scarce. PRESS RELEASE London, United Kingdom – 3rd January, 2008 – Today, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry® 2 is being developed for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. Far Cry 2 is a next-generation first-person shooter being created by Ubisoft’s Montreal development studio. More than just a visual and technological achievement, Far Cry 2 immerses players in an entirely new kind of gaming experience, featuring a custom-made video game engine built from the ground up. Players will discover a true open world gameplay set in one of the most beautiful environments in the world, Africa, brought to life by high-definition next-gen technology. Far Cry 2 is scheduled to ship fiscal 2008–2009.

i bet it will be developed on ps3 first since its easier that way !

Really?

Seeing as the Xbox 360 is closer to a PC I would expect the 360 version to be developed later for this reason.

If you ask me, in the agreement developers get for developing games for a system, such as the 360 or PS3, they are told not to say anything about the problems developing for the system.

Don't care i'm quite sick of shooters right now. Bring on some good platformers and rpg's.
