	When Wipeout HD was mysteriously missing from the Sony lineup at E3, people started wondering if it was still on track for release. Sony then suddenly revealed that the game looks and plays great, but there was one specific technical issue that was preventing its release. Well, it seems this issue may be that the game induces epileptic seizures way too often. First, this article appeared over at TheSixAxis.com, and then CVG posted their article (click the link), in which a source apparently told them the game failed its epilepsy tests too often. CVG tactfully avoided naming their source. Rumor mill for now, expect a response from Sony soon if it is untrue. If it is accurate, Sony may not have much to say just yet. >Link

Exactly. Every game says "warning seizures" or something like that. Just like how anything alcoholic says "drink responsibly". It can kill you, just be careful.

I think they unlocked the true power of the PS3. The reason this game is causing epzis, is because the 120fps and 4D Sony claimed before it launched has finally been tapped into.

Serioulsy though. I agree with Dudeman. Slap some motion sentive BS warning in the damn game so we can play some Wipeout already.

I agree with each of you, lol...but here is the FACT:

If it was a simple matter with epilepsy tests, it would just be a matter of putting the correct labels and warnings on the box and in the game.

Obviously, that isn't the problem.

This game is being delayed because of problems programming it.

Sony needs to accept responsibility the way that Sega did with the Saturn and simply say, "Parallel processing isn't good for videogame development; it results in delayed and cancelled games; it results in expensive development costs."

Krogan does this mean that Wipe Out HD wouldn't be a game your parents would let you play because you get epzis?

Krogan is it true you, yourself get Epzis from those small spinning plastic fans that people like to stick into their lawn? just asking.

i think its more then just adding a warning label on this product. if it cause seizures, then there is already a problem. the point would be to "not" cause seizures.

for example, what if i sold a soda that when consumed, it instantly gave you diarreah. would slapping a label "warning:may cause diarreah" prevent people from getting diarreah when the percentage is 100%? i would have to re-formulate my soda to where it either gives minimal chance of diarreah or not at all.

thats the case here with Wipeout. if true, then it appears that the games "flashy stuff" gives too many chances of someone having an epileptic seizure. for the safety of anyone here and anyone i know, i'd rather have that game be fixed with minimal chance of Epilepsy like every other game rather then just having a label slapped on it.

No, I do not have seizures as a result of seeing fans in peoples' yards. People have seizures for different reasons, and that isn't why I have seizures.

I have seizures for the same reason that dudeman is delusional: Unknown Reasons
