According to CVG, Midway developers believe that Halo 3 will help sell the new Area 51 game, Blacksite, not hurt it. Well, whether or not that is true we can argue until the cows come home. What is not arguable though, is the fact that Midway revealed to CVG that there is a brand new full-blown multiplayer demo in the works that will be available sometime before release. That sounds like a good idea, Midway.

Apparently, the Hour Of Victory demo has been pulled from Xbox Live. We here at GR were grabbing it along with a few of our users, when it stalled at 99%. When we cancelled and went to re-download, it was gone. Stay tuned.

Midway's highly anticipated World War II FPS title, Hour of Victory, will be live and playable for the first time next week via Xbox LIVE® Marketplace. Midway will release an exciting single-player teaser demo on Wednesday, May 30, providing a glimpse of the game's cinematic and frenetic gameplay in advance of Hour of Victory's march to retail stores in June.

Sony has announced that Rampage World Tour will be available tonight on the North American PS3 store. The game will cost $4.99, as per the going rate, and it has the three classic Rampage characters.

In a conference call today, Midway executives revealed that they are very positive on the Nintendo Wii, and they make three games slated for the console in 2007. One of the titles is Mortal Kombat, but the other two are exclusive, as-yet-unannounced, games. More info when we have it.

Asked about the company's efforts for the Wii, the executives noted that the company was already a strong proponent of the platform, offering four launch window titles, and also promised three more unannounced titles for 2007 in addition to the forthcoming Mortal Kombat, two of those exclusive to the console.

Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon has explained that his next game is "going to be a real serious Mortal Kombat" in an interview with CVG. The series, which follows the exploits of a trio of sentient fast-food items, has also inspired a feature length film - Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theaters due in theaters April 13.

In an interview with GameInformer, Ed Boon, the main man behind the MK series, talked a small amount about the next MK game. Most of the article is about the Wii version of Armageddon, but on the last page, he reveals that MKVIII will use the Unreal engine, have a gritty look like Gears of War, no more 3 fighting styles, and have completely different gameplay. Sounds great!
