It seems that Manhunt 2 may be as gory and graphic as the buzz warrants -- the ESRB gave the game the rare Adults Only rating. Of course, it would be the exact opposite, and the rating could be a result of the buzz itself, but either way, Rockstar may be screwed -- again. This may have more of an impact than you realize, consider the following. Stores like Wal-Mart and Target make up 1/3rd or more of the total unit sales for video games. These stores also, as a policy, do not carry games rated Adults Only. Which is hippocritical in our eyes since movies like Saw and Hostel are a stone's throw away, but I digress. This could mean more monetary losses for Rockstar, who is already on the brink of big money trouble. Rockstar responded that the game certainly deserved and was developed to make the cut for the 'M' Rating. The ironic footnote to all of this is that the game is being released on - you guessed it - the family party time Nintendo Wii console! If it wasnt so scary we would laugh. Rating a product of buzz? We think so.

Manhunt 2 was created for mature audiences and we strongly believe it should receive an M (Mature) rating, aligning it with similar content created in other forms of media. We are exploring our options with regard to the rating of Manhunt 2.

The BBFC, earlier today, told the UK public that, after debate, they have decided to ban the sale of Manhunt 2 to gamers in the UK. T be honest, it sounds like the game is standing a lot more on the reputation of Manhunt 1, which caused such an uproar back in 2003. The original game was banned in many countries due to extreme scene of violence and gore. In the UK, the game was linked to the murder of Stefan Pakeerah, 14, by his friend Warren Leblanc, 17. Giselle Pakeerah, the victim's mother, said that Leblanc had been 'obsessed' with the game. During the fiasco, the game was banned from UK stores and its place in the annals of video game violence was secured.

Now, with the release of Manhunt 2, Rockstar hopes to still be able to capitalize on the small amount of buzz that is generation when the title is mentioned. Fortunately, for Rockstar, it looks like they will have all the buzz help they will need this time around, as well.

Take-Two has officially confirmed that the additional episode content for Grand Theft Auto IV will be an Xbox360 exclusive. Sorry PS3 owners, but it seems Sony and Rockstar could not come to terms. The exclusivity deal was hinted at in a recent financial report, and it was confirmed to GI within the last 24 hours. MS scores another one, Sony really dropped the ball on this one.

According to a recent interview in the Official Playstatio nMagazine, Rockstar's creative VP Dan Houser admitted that the lack of Blu-Ray storage space and no guarantee of HDD usage has created limitations for the programming crew on the XBox360 version of GTA IV. He then goes on to say that Rockstar has not quite solved these puzzles yet, a comment which we are sure the MS PR people are placing a call right now to Rockstar about. Let's hope for those of our readers who only own the XBox360 that these issues are solved quickly. Houser does eventually admit though that both consoles have their own specific issues.

The difficulties aren't limited to working on Microsoft's box, as Houser explains that "both have enormous challenges" and that "both have their own particular pleasures and pains".
