Just in case some of you have not already heard, we bring this to you. Thursday, March 29, 2007. Free the date, readers. Rockstar has posted a countdown for the release of the first GTA IV trailer. Yes, a countdown for a trailer folks. Until now, we have just been provided with a barrage of blurry, mostly fake, images, and a mountain of rumors. Unfortunately, no word on what platform or resolution the video will be in -- great news anyway, though.

It seems that Rockstar has decided to use the Euphoria physics engine for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV sequel. This is the same physics engine that Lucasarts used to wow everyone with the Indiana Jones and Star Wars demos recently. Great news!

Our friend Jack Thompson has been quiet lately, maybe he took the Holidays off. Well, he is quiet no more, only three days into the new year he is calling on MS chairman Bill Gates to put a stop to the coming sale of Grand Theft Auto IV. Like that would ever happen, considering what MS had to do to get the game on the Xbox360 in the first place.

According to PlanetGTA, Nintendo tried to persuade Take-Two to bring the GTA Series onto their consoles. No answer has been unveiled but it sure fuels the imagination on how this would be played using the Wiimote.

According to an article over at Newsweek, Ken Kuitaragi himself was responsible for the lost exclusivity of the Grand Theft Auto and Assassins Creed franchises. Kutaragi and the rest of the Sony camp has bascially been totally incommunicado until this week, so Take Two and Ubisoft did not get any responses to their requests to make exclusivity deals. Not able to waste any more time, both publishers decided to go multi-platform. Bad move, Sony.

You may not know this, but in Rockstar's new controversial title Bully, players can make out with many of the game's female supporting players. They can also make out with one male NPC as well, and this is what has our old friend Jack Thompson up in arms yet again.

According to Eurogamer, a source close to Rockstar North claims that the GTA team is working on exclusive supplemental content for both systems, not just the Xbox360. This certainly stands to reason, we do not see why Rockstar would leave Sony out in the cold.
