Jack Thompson Blames Microsoft For VT Deaths In Letter >
2007/04/18 23:53:21: Posted by DM
This one is pretty damn funny, folks. Good old Jack Thompson has composed a letter to Bill Gates himself, blaming MS for the deaths at VT. This is due to the fact that the shooter was an avid Counterstrike player, and of course (according to old Wacky Jacky), Microsoft produces and publishes Counterstrike. If this letter is for real, it is libel, plain and simple. Let's hope MS decides to sue. (Thanks, Neo)

Actually, he wasn't. He was seen playing CS while in high school. Most reports say he was actually writing on the computer in college, not playing games. Even then, the CS group at VTech had never heard of the guy.

I no way can Ms be blamed for the death of those people, or the actions of this man,.

However Ms can be blamed for the EXTREME amount of failures that occur in 360’s everyday.

Just the other day I was in my local games store where no less than 10 consumers came in saying that their 360’s had broke down, all within an hour. Its reasons like this that Microsoft is often referred to as Microshaft.

Yea lets blame MS for repairing them for free or better lets blame them for sending out new ones instead of repairing them. all for free

it shows how much he really knows about games though, MS only published the lesser played xbox version, valve and Vivendi did the pc version.

@B1useadmiral

It is not at all free if it’s after a year and with the failure rate of 360 as high as it is, you can bet after a year you will have to pay MORE money for another repair. That has happened to SEVERAL people I know who have had launch 360’s break down multiple times. Some consumers (as reported by major websites) have had their consoles breakdown 9 times!

In fact its happened to All of the people I know who have 360's, they even tell me that they consider the 360 to actually cost $800 because you will definitely need to pay for AT LEAST 2 repairs! Ms asked for $200 for each repair but they were not so stupid and kept their money and said they would simply buy a wii or save up for PS3!

Its reason like that people stays away from Ms Products and the INCREDIBLE failure of the Zune, because consumers know that with MS you will need to pay for several versions of the same product!

Also you forget that MS have only recently made one year free, because they know they could be sued for making such a product that has such an incredible failure rate

This of course is unlike Sony who VALUE their consumers, because they know it’s with them they have sold over 100 million Playstation 1 and 2 consoles, and why they will sell even MORE with the PS3! I run a successful business and can tell you I model my company offer the GREAT service that Sony has done for its consumers.

And here is another thing does Ms give you back the time you wasted calling up their horrendous customer service department, packing up the 360, waiting for them to collect it, and waiting for you to receive it after you spent $400 and more for games and accessories? I run a successful business and can tell you shoddily built products is one of consumers major complaints about products, and 360 suffers from this A LOT.

So instead of thinking its free (which its not anyway) you should really think about how you will just wait LONGER before pony up the cash.

Nuff said.

Well, he has a point. Sometimes using and supporting Microsoft Windows makes me want to shoot up a university campus too.

What, too soon?

Wow! Successful Businessman, you sure know how to turn an interesting post into fanboy baiting crap. Congratulations on making my "Don't care what you have to say" list!

@Successful Businessman,

First My 360 when down 14 months after purchase(which was on launch day). I paid $0 for repairs including shipping. MS cover it all. I have to say MS went over and above what they have to to take care of their Xbox owners. I'm sure the only business your successful at is servicing your loving Sony Execs with your padding knee padds. Come off it dude Sony is not that great. We don't want to hear your "pro-sony/MS sucks" garbage. Take to a PS3 fanboy site.
