IGN went to try out the new Burnout game on PS3 at TGS, and lo and behold, when they picked up the PS3, it was rumbling! The first appearance of the SixAxis with the rumble feature has apparently been confirmed!

I agree. Thats why I have been waiting to buy additional controllers...

sweet. by the time i get my ps3 they'll probably be out.

Same here Poprocker, PimpD, might have to shell out that extra for the something that should be included.. hahaha, Hey GR members does this mean that UTP will finally shut up about Rumble feature in 360games? I know what he's gonna say, all 360 games have rumble and only some games in PS3 has it. Well that shouldn't matter because Ps3 has no games worth owning now. The future looks to be brighter.

B1ueBurneR: They do have one game B1ue. It's called Warhawk. I got it with the Blue-tooth headset. It was worth the $60.00 But your right I have tried everything else and I find myself "Waiting Beyond" too...

Early adopters get screwed again.

lc204, that's why they're called "early adopters." It's the same with everything. And as for B1ue, you sure have high (or biased) standards. There are plenty of great games for the PS3. Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Virtua Fighter 5 and LAIR (arguable...).

Most people don't seem to understand that there already has been a Third-Party Rumble controller for the Playstation 3 that has been available for quite a while. The HUGE PROBLEM is that these controllers only have a function of working with "SOME" of the PS2 games, and NONE of the Playstation 3 games currently available.
Written by madgunde on 2007/09/19
Once the controller is out, the game support will come and some older games may get updates to enable it. While I prefer having rumble, I can't say I miss it when I'm playing PS3 games, in other words, I don't find myself saying, "man, this game sucks because it doesn't have rumble".On the positive side, when Sony does release the rumbleaxis, it will be with Immersion's latest technology that is much more sensitive and can apparently rumble different parts of the controller from what I've heard. So Sony will be late to come back to the party, but they'll have the coolest outfit.

SWEET!

madgunde:But that means all the people who already bought the Playstation 3 have to go out and buy controllers again...don't you think Sony should have to trade in those old controllers for the new ones??? Microsoft would do that...so why isn't Sony?
Written by Fair and Balanced Tech Teacher on 2007/09/19
You don't know MS would do that. MS only offered a 3 year extension (on the RRoD only) to avoid yet another class action lawsuit. The controllers won't be out until next year. IF a controller rumbling or not is the only thing keeping you from spending $4-500, then that's your perogative. You presume and assume too much about your beloved MS. You should be more concerned with the fact that the 360's are still dying at a break neck pace. Go work some overtime at your MS desk job. They need some more viral marketing.

i agree with Tech Teacher. if MS would do something like that, then why not allow a trade in of 360's when the new cool 65nm processors come out? or when HDMI is added to the other SKU's other then the Elite? i'm sure Gamestop/EBGames will trade those in, as well as the PS3 controllers, but dont go around saying MS would when everyone on earth knows they wouldnt.
oh, and the huge problem about current PS3 games not being supported by rumble, according to kotaku.com Sony released a list of games that will support rumble, new and old.hxxp://kotaku.com/gaming/tgs07/the-list-of-ps3-games-that-support-the-dualshock-3-301734.phpi'll just post the games that are already out that will support rumble(via software update)
The Darkness 2K Games(aleady supports it)Blast FactorFORMULA ONE CHAMPIONSHIP EDITIONHeavenly SwordMotorStorm MLB 08: The ShowNBA 08 Resistance: Fall of ManSuper Stardust HD WarhawkNBA 2K8 Stuntman Ignition (hey urdnot, wasnt this game cancelled for PS3? =P)Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas
oh, and just to mention it too, so will MGS4 support rumble. i guess hideo kojima shouldnt worry about the 'rumble guy' anymore =P
